Bentje Brauns (Website)
After completing her PhD on groundwater–surface water interactions and nutrient exchange, Bentje has continued to pursue her interests in contamination issues, field studies, and groundwater recharge (including the lack of it, i.e., droughts). Since 2018, she has been working at the British Geological Survey, leading and contributing mainly to international projects focused on hydrogeological challenges.
Bentje has been a committee member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists – GB Chapter since 2021. She values IAH’s contribution to bringing the worldwide groundwater community together, while also nurturing national activities and knowledge exchange.
